Collaborative Law

What is the Collaborative Law Process?

The Collaborative Process provides an alternative approach to traditional, combative litigation. The process focuses on helping people move beyond the present controversy and move forward with their lives and businesses. It provides a forum for open, supportive communications that minimize conflict and allow clients to find solutions that work for all parties. The process uses a team-based approach involving attorneys, financial professionals and other counselors which assist clients to reach an out of court settlement.

The Collaborative Process is utilized as an alternative dispute resolution tool in the following areas:

  • Business
  • Probate
  • Employment
  • Construction
  • Healthcare
  • Family – including but not limited to divorce, custody, pre- and post-nuptial agreements, and domestic partnership couplings and uncouplings
